Bath Otters Hydro Club
Bath Otters Club Background
Much like the Frome club counterpart, Bath Otters offers after-school hydrotherapy sessions for children with both physical and learning disabilities, allowing them to enjoy the freedom of the water and learn to swim safely according to their own physical abilities.

Through music and games the children develop balance, breath control and independence in the water until eventually they are able to swim and float safely and confidently. The benefits are many: a sense of achievement; improved fitness; a sense of belonging and, most of all, a lot of fun!
In addition, the club is a lifeline for the parents of disabled children. Not only is it a supportive, positive environment where they can go with their kids, it also gives them a chance to meet other parents in similar situations. The club helps alleviate the isolation they can sometimes feel and offers the chance to make new friends and do something fun together.
It is so important that these sessions continue to run, so we can continue to benefit from the specialist input and support that this wonderful group provides.
